Mentoring Programme

Dasra Social-Impact’s entrepreneurs know their field and have a deep understanding of the issues faced by those they work with. However they do need business expertise and guidance to dramatically increase their impact on marginalized communities.

If you have expertise in financial planning or business expansion strategy you could be instrumental in helping them build the skills required to realize their vision.

This is an opportunity to apply your valuable experience and business acumen, while learning from those who have incredible stories and innovative solutions to fighting poverty.

Not only is it different from anything you may have done before, it’s also unique – no other programme in India enables you to contribute within such a comprehensive framework.

Alongside our residential workshops, you will help them build:

• a solid business plan
• a tactical execution plan
• a clarified vision towards long-term growth and sustainability
• an improved understanding of financing options
• an expanded network of relevant contacts.

We are looking for mentors who can commit to a minimum of 2 days in Mumbai during the following weeks:

• October 25th to 30th, 2009
• February 15th to 19th, 2010
• May 31st to June 4th, 2010

with an approximately five hours online / telephone communication monthly.

We are also seeking mentors across India to volunteer their time with our social entrepreneurs in their place of work.
